About Babs Rangaiah

Babs Rangaiah leads marketing for IBM’s iX division. His directive is to apply the considerable assets of IBM–from design to cognitive computing through to e-commerce–to establish an end-to-end marketing advisory blueprint for the digital age for some of the world’s top brands. Prior to joining IBM, Mr. Rangaiah was the vice president of global communications planning for Unilever. He oversaw a team that worked with global brands to infuse new media strategy and integrated channel thinking into the creative development process. Under his leadership, Unilever was recognized as one of the best and most innovative marketers for their use of the media and digital space. In 2007 and 2011, Unilever was named “Digital Marketer of the Year” by Advertising Age, and it was also MediaPost’s 2008 CPG marketer of the year. Prior to joining Unilever, Babs was vice president of media for the interactive firm Agency.com, and spent several years in traditional media planning at DMB&B, most recently as vice president, AMD on Procter & Gamble. He recently obtained a Master of Science degree with a focus on interactive technology from Quinnipiac University. Babs was born just outside Bangalore, India and currently resides in Scarsdale, NY with his wife and three children.
