Kayvan Salmanpour is the Chief Commercial Officer for the Boston Globe. He has held a variety of leadership positions in the media industry for over 14 years. His focus has always been on disrupting traditional revenue models in media and fostering new ways to fund high-quality journalism.
Kayvan was previously one of the founding members of Newscred, joining as their third employee. He helped build it into the largest content marketing platform in the world – raising over $95m in venture financing whilst growing the business to over 250 people and counting many of the Fortune 500 brands as clients.
Prior to joining NewsCred, Kayvan was the CEO of Mediaplanet North America, the largest publisher of special-reports, co-sponsored by brands and distributed through the New York Times, WSJ, the Guardian, and the Washington Post.
Kayvan has also held senior leadership positions at Hearst Digital as their Chief Content Officer, and at the Business of Fashion, as their President of North America. Kayvan graduated with a Masters degree in Media Law & Accounting at the London School of Economics.
