Drew Faust is the President of Harvard University, coming to the end of her tenure as President. She was the first woman to be appointed President of Harvard. She arrived having just completed a report analyzing the challenges facing women to achieve tenure. During her presidency promoting Diversity and Inclusion has been a fundamental priority. She commissioned a report to make Harvard more inclusive, supported a range of initiatives on diversity and inclusion, and appointed the most diverse group of Deans at Harvard. Giving her this award would send a powerful signal to higher education and other industries, given the attention Harvard commands.
