Haley Skarupa
Women’s Ice Hockey Forward,
Boston College Alumni & Team USA

Originally from Rockville, Maryland, Haley Skarupa made her move to Boston in 2012, where she joined the Boston College Eagles. That first year, aside from setting a freshman scoring record, she was named Hockey East Rookie of the Year, and was also honored with her team as Hockey East All-Star Second Team and Hockey East All-Rookie Team.

By her senior year at Boston College, Skarupa had been named a Patty Kazmaier Memorial Award Top 10 Finalist two years in a row, earned Second Team All-America honors, and First Team Hockey East All-Star. Her senior year, she also helped lead the Eagles in an undefeated regular season – only the second in NCAA history.

In 2015, she was drafted by the National Women’s Hockey League’s New York Riveters. She joined the Connecticut Whale in 2016, and the Boston Pride in 2017.

As a member of the U.S. Women’s National Team, Skarupa has played in three Four Nations Cups, and three IIHF Women’s World Championships, winning gold three consecutive years.

In November 2017, Skarupa left the Boston Pride to train with the U.S. Women’s National Team as they got ready to move on to the 2018 Olympic Games in PyeongChang.

In PyeongChang, Team USA won gold for the first time since 1998, after a shootout with longtime rival, Canada.
