PASSION:

Marcela is the Senior Talent Acquisition Partner at Havas Media, where she supports scores of people. Outside of work, Marcela also supports the larger Boston community through her passion for RnB and pop music.

 

IMPACT:

Marcela is a touring vocalist and lends her talents to local schools and community centers throughout Boston including Charlestown High School, Cambridge Tech School, and the Boston Boys & Girls Club, where she encourages students to follow their dreams and music education.

In addition to music, Marcela brings eco-friendly resources to the community and volunteers at Boston GreenFest, a grassroots effort organized by the Foundation for a Green Future as well as at the American Red Cross Boston Food Pantry, connecting and supporting local individuals and families in need. Fostering an environment that celebrates culture, diversity, and inclusion remains of the utmost importance to Marcela.

This shows not only in Marcela’s music, but also in her commitment to Havas Media Boston’s efforts. She is the leader and founder of the office Culture Committee where she seeks out ways to celebrate and highlight other cultures and holidays at Havas Village Boston including:

• “Black at Work” installation for Black History Month raised awareness and reaffirmed the realities and challenges of African American professionals

• Partnership with BAGLY for fundraiser and events to support the LGBTQ+ youth community during Pride Boston.

Her passion of music, drive to improve her community, and nuanced understanding of different cultures motivates Marcela both at work and in her promising music career.
