Chris MacKenzie

Market Managing Partner
RSM US LLP

PASSION:

One of the causes that Chris is the most passionate about is raising awareness for the differently-abled community. He works tirelessly both inside and outside the walls of RSM to help diminish the stigma associated with people who have disabilities.

IMPACT:

With Chris’ lead-by-example mentality, he has helped to support and raise awareness of the differently-abled community both inside and outside of RSM. Chris is actively involved with the Special Olympics of Massachusetts and the Northeast Arc. He was recently honored with the Changing Lives Award by the Northeast Arc at its annual Changing Lives Gala where he helped to raise more than $700,000.

Chris has worked closely with these and other organizations to not only raise funds but to build relationships with the people who are supported by them. By befriending a few differently-abled individuals, Chris has helped to promote them and their stories in the community at-large, most notably Melissa Reilly, Special Olympic Athlete, Collette Divitto, owner of Collettey’s Cookies and John Cronin, co-founder of John’s Crazy Socks. Through Chris’ efforts, he was able to showcase Collettey’s Cookies and John’s Crazy socks to more than 750 RSM employees at an office town hall and the Boston business community through a write up in the Boston Business Journal. Chris has also facilitated introductions of these companies to other local businesses like Legal Sea Foods and to RSM on a national scale.
