Annie Duong

Program Manager, Corporate Responsibility
John Hancock

PASSION:

Annie, Program Manager, Corporate Responsibility, for John Hancock, has a passion for advocating for youth, and working to help families reach economic mobility.

IMPACT:

Annie’s work with MLK Scholars began many years ago as a young participant in the program, as a summer intern at John Hancock. She now leads the program, helping to teach career readiness skills to Boston youth.

Annie also serves on the Advisory Council for the Family Independence Initiative, which is changing the resource gap for low-income families by partnering with, learning from, and investing directly in families. FII’s locations in Boston and Cambridge are their largest sites and partner with families within the diverse low-income neighborhoods of Greater Boston. By 2020, they aim to partner with 2,000 families from the poorest neighborhoods. Through these family partnerships, they will shift the way that Boston and Cambridge’s low-income communities and families are perceived and invested in.
