PASSION:

Tyissha is a wonderful community advocate. She is passionate about volunteerism, helping other women and promoting workplace diversity. She is a member of the Black Employee Network and works to support neighbors in finding pathways to success.

IMPACT:

Tyissha is a wonderful community advocate and passionate member of our team at the Age Strong Commission. In her job she oversees our Volunteer Unit in the Age Strong Commission, creating opportunities for over 360 adults over 55 to volunteer programs. In her spare time Tyissha is a key member of the City’s Black Employee Network and has organized and created programs to lift up our diverse workforce and bring friends to Black Owned businesses in the community. She also works with women in the community who have been impacted by violence. She helps coordinate a team for the Mother’s Day Walk for Peace every year. These are just a few things she does to lift up and support the community.
