PASSION:

Rich has been on the board of Bottom Line supporting under-represented youth pursue education.
Bottom Line is dedicated to helping disadvantaged students get in to college, graduate from college, and go far in life. They achieve this mission by providing low-income and first-generation students with one-on-one guidance through the application process and during college.

IMPACT:

Bottom Line and his advisor were the catalyst for Rich going to college. Rich continues to choose Bottom Line to this day because he wants to show students and future board members that the Bottom Line model works. He hopes that sharing his story will motivate students to find the same success he has. Bottom Line has confidently gotten him to achieve what they told him he would. He chooses Bottom Line because they make it happen. They practice what they preach – you can see it. They tell you they can help, and they do it, and they’re honest. They make things work with very little. It’s an organization that backs up what they say, and Rich is thrilled to be a part of that. Rich is an alumnus of the program, and completed both their access (high school) and success (college) programs.
He’s a volunteer (help at events and do mock interviews for students), an ambassador, and current board member for Massachusetts. He has also spoken at events, and have done interviews for some articles/media (Channel 5 news, Boston Globe, Wall Street Journal, etc.).
