Marie St. Fleur, is a strategic leader and dynamic motivational speaker. She develops cross-sector partnerships, creates effective messaging to build support and leverage community strengths for effective change. Her experience as an attorney, legislator, senior leader in municipal government and nonprofit informs client support.

St. Fleur was recently named Executive Director of the King Boston Memorial. She continues to lead a diverse portfolio of work as the Principal of St. Fleur Communications.

The former President and CEO of a nonprofit in Boston, she launched “Put MA Kids First ” a coalition that secured increased investment in early education and care in Massachusetts. As Chief of Advocacy and Strategic Investment for the City of Boston, St. Fleur oversaw the offices of Intergovernmental Relations, New Bostonians, Small Business Enterprise and supported diversity and reentry programs.

St. Fleur was a Massachusetts State Representative for eleven years. She is the first Haitian-American elected to state office in the United States and the first woman to serve as Vice Chair of the powerful Committee on Ways and Means.

Chairing the Education Committee, St. Fleur championed two-way bilingual education, STEM, and led the establishment of the Board and Department of Early Education and Care. As an Assistant District Attorney, she worked with communities on criminal justice, human services, and civil rights issues.

A graduate of Boston College Law School and University of Massachusetts, Amherst, St. Fleur served as, Chair to the Advisory Council for the Haiti Fund at The Boston Foundation, Trustee of the Boston Bar Foundation and President of the Massachusetts Black Lawyers Association. Her media appearances include WCVB TV’s City Line, WBUR, Commonwealth Magazines, and Boston Business Journal’s 2014 Women Up award. She is currently, on the Boards of Dorchester Boys and Girls Club, Nativity Preparatory School, and Suffolk County Child Advocacy Center.
