Description:

The Non-Profit Initiative Award recognizes non-profit organizations whose primary focus is to bridge the gap between corporate America and the communities in which our diverse neighbors live and work.

This non-profit will serve as a go-between and advocate for diverse communities and the companies and organizations with the ability to contribute to the success and vibrancy of the community.

To Enter:

Entrants should provide information regarding the specific focus of a particular organization, what community it seeks to support, serve, or educate, and examples of their success (whether anticipated or measured results). Non-profit organizations might work to:

  • Train individuals for the corporate workplace
  • Create awareness of diverse candidates in the corporate workplace
  • Provide opportunities to future workforce members from diverse communities
  • Support the community by providing access to resources, events, health care, that will lead to long-term personal success and employment
Judging Criteria:

The committee will consider a number of factors, including the unique services provided, or programs implemented by the nominee organization, the ingenuity of the services or program, as well as the success or anticipated results of the program.
