Prince Lobel attorneys bring to the firm experience that is both deep and broad in a wide range of practice areas and industries, including construction, corporate, domestic relations, employment, environmental, estate planning, insurance/reinsurance, intellectual property, litigation, media, real estate, telecommunications, and more.

We focus on providing these legal services to Fortune 1000 companies, closely held businesses, and high-net-worth individuals. However, we also recognize our obligation to the community, and have a longstanding tradition of providing pro bono counsel to those who need, but cannot access, legal assistance.

Having our workforce reflect the diversity of our client base is an integral component of the firm’s mission. Our attorneys encompass a broad range of ethnic and cultural backgrounds. We recognize that supporting diversity demands the careful cultivation of relationships built on respect and dialogue, and we focus our recruiting efforts on maintaining a diverse and inclusive workplace.

Prince Lobel has an active diversity committee, chaired by Walter Prince, whose mission is to ensure that the firm remains committed to its stated goals of openness and inclusion, both in its hiring policies and its vendor selection. To help us reach those goals, we are a member of the Greater New England Minority Supplier Development Council (GNEMSDC) which is a 35-year-old nonprofit agency that fosters business relationships between certified Minority Business Enterprises (MBEs) and corporate members. Through the firm’s membership with GNEMSDC, we are able to identify vendors that demonstrate a commitment to diversity and that create jobs in their local communities.

We live in an ever-changing culture, one whose growth and sustainability lie in our ability to unite those with different backgrounds, perspectives, experiences, and talents. Within a single generation, Boston has transformed itself from a place known for its intolerance, into a city brimming with those from all cultures, backgrounds, and ethnicities.

At Prince Lobel, we long ago recognized this transformation and knew that we had a responsibility to make a conscious, ongoing effort to ensure that our workplace reflects the community. It is our responsibility to provide opportunity to the youth who have limited resources or options. It is our responsibility to actively seek qualified, minority candidates to join our firm. And it is our responsibility to partner with hard-working businesses that provide local jobs and are themselves trying to build a sustainable community.

For many years, Prince Lobel has partnered with Madison Park, a high school in Roxbury, Mass. that offers its diverse population the opportunity to acquire an integrated vocational and academic education. Since 2006, the firm has provided entry-level jobs for students while they complete their studies. We are proud that every student who has worked with us is either attending college or has graduated and is now employed full-time here at the firm or elsewhere in Boston.

Building upon the success of this initiative and in response to Mayor Martin J. Walsh’s challenge to expand youth employment opportunities, the City of Boston, Boston Private Industry Council, and Prince Lobel have launched the program, Learning And Working (LAW) – An Employment Program for Youth, which offers Boston Public Schools students a paid opportunity to develop career skills, make beneficial connections, and gain real world experience.
