John W. Chandler, Jr. is Senior Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer for Massachusetts Mutual Life Insurance Company, with accountability for MassMutual’s enterprise marketing and advertising, employee communications, public relations, internal and external web sites and social media and community responsibility, and for product and market segment marketing of the U.S. Insurance Group.

Before joining MassMutual, John was Chief Marketing Officer at The Hanover Insurance Group, where he led a total company rebranding of the former Allmerica Financial Corporation. Prior to that, he held senior marketing and brand management positions in the US and Europe with leading consumer marketers Hasbro, Holiday Inn, Cadbury Schweppes, and Frito Lay.

John earned his bachelors degree at Trinity College in Hartford, CT and a Masters in Business Administration from the Amos Tuck School at Dartmouth College. John serves on the boards of the Springfield Symphony Orchestra and the Economic Development Council of Western Massachusetts.
