About David Oksman
David Oksman currently serves as Head of Marketing at The Life is good Company, a Boston–based lifestyle apparel brand whose mission is to spread the power of optimism and help kids in need through its nonprofit action arm, the Life is good Playmakers. In this role, David leads the Marketing and E-commerce functions with a creative and optimistic vision for the brand. While under his leadership, Life is good has accomplished many milestones including raising over $1 million for kids in need at the 2011 Life is good Festival, reaching 1 million Facebook fans, and being honored for their social media and philanthropic efforts, including a Social Influencer Award nomination and receiving Outdoor Magazine’s “Most Followed on Twitter,” and “Most Liked on Facebook.”
Prior to his role at Life is good, David ran US E-commerce at Reebok, and played a leadership role in their global replatforming, which included managing E-commerce operations and strategy in 8 countries and launching Reebok.com in over 20 markets. Previous roles include leading cross divisional search marketing and an online/Cable-on-Demand video platform for GM as an account executive at Digitas. Prior to joining Digitas, he spent three years at Staples, Inc., driving marketing campaigns through numerous online channels. With a B.S. in Business Administration from Babson College, David resides in Foxboro with his fiancée and son.
About James Macdonald
James Macdonald is a Boston-based music industry professional with experience in concert production, record promotion, radio and entertainment marketing.
Since 2009, James has held the position of Director of Good Vibes for the optimistic lifestyle brand Life is good. Spearheading the brand’s strategic efforts in music and entertainment marketing, James launched and currently produces The Life is good Festival, the Boston area’s premier multi-day music festival. The Life is good Festival has featured acts such as Jason Mraz, Ray LaMontagne, Ben Harper, The Avett Brothers and many more, while raising $1.7 million for The Life is good Kids Foundation. In addition to producing The Life is good Festival, James programs Life is good Radio, the brand’s online radio station and in-store musical programming and oversees its marketing based artist partnerships.
His past experience has been with Virgin Records and Modern Rock radio station WBCN.
