SVP, Brand & Creative
Don Lane joined DraftKings in August 2016 as Senior Vice President, Brand & Creative. His mission is to develop integrated marketing campaigns that show how DraftKings makes sports better – and makes better sports fans – by bring fantasy players closer to the games they love.
Prior to DraftKings, Don spent 21 years at Arnold Worldwide, building some of the world’s most iconic brands, including Volkswagen, ESPN, Volvo, Carnival & Titleist.
Don’s teams drove acquisition for ESPN Fantasy Sports, sustained Titleist’s position as the #1 ball in golf and helped Carnival through a significant brand recovery.
He was the global account director for Volvo, leading teams in North America, Europe and Asia. And he was a leader on Arnold’s Volkswagen team, developing the iconic “Drivers wanted®” campaign, which sold more than 3 million cars, won 13 EFFIEs in 10 years and countless creative awards.
Don’s leadership style was profiled in Adam Grant’s New York Times’ best-seller, “Give and Take.”
Don graduated from the University of Richmond with a degree in journalism. He resides in the Boston area with his wife, Karen, and three children.
