Mary O’Brien is the vice president of global marketing for Saucony, a division of Wolverine Worldwide and a global performance running footwear and apparel brand that is committed to empowering the human spirit through running. In this role, O’Brien is responsible for creating and executing international strategic plans and alignment of international markets with Saucony’s global brand strategy.

Since joining Saucony in 2008, O’Brien has fused her passion for running with building integrated marketing campaigns that amplify the brand’s award-winning innovations while connecting with runners of all types. Whoa, Saucony’s most recent multichannel global marketing campaign, as well as the Find Your Strong brand campaign continue to resonate with runners around the globe, and have helped to drive Saucony to the number three market share position in the run specialty retail channel.

O’Brien is a member of the board of directors of the Saucony Run for Good Foundation, established in 2006, to help combat childhood obesity by providing financial support to community-based youth running programs.

Prior to Saucony, O’Brien held a variety of roles at Reebok International, including marketing director of footwear, where she was responsible for business planning, product line building, and marketing for multiple footwear categories. Previous to that, O’Brien served as vice president of product marketing at the all-women’s footwear brand Ryka.

O’Brien has both a B.S. and Masters in Business Administration from the University of Massachusetts.
